The Warp Gates are large gateways in space that allow transport between planets. They've made transport very convenient, but improper usage can cause wormholes that can destroy entire planets, so they're closely regulated. At one point, the warp gates malfunctioned, caused massive power outages, and were about to destroy a planet Jody Summer was taken to. In order to stop the chaos, Rick and Falcon performed their Boost Fire techniques to repair the damage, and for Jody to arrive safely. It was first featured during the second episode of the anime as Lucy and her friends took a bus from Earth to Nintae for an F-Zero race. Some worlds don't have warp gates, like Clank's home planet, Forno, making transportation to be more like a crawl.
