Beastman became a beast hunter after a nasty encounter with a gigantic crocodile on the planet White —after surviving the ordeal, he decided that he wanted to protect people from such dangerous creatures. He is actually quite shy, and in order to keep his bashful nature from being discovered he adorned himself in the imposing outfit of a dinosaur. Before long, due to his heroic deeds and growing popularity, he became known as the Beastman. Having dealt with all the beasts on his own planet, he entered the F-ZERO GX Grand Prix for promotional reasons. There, he met Bio Rex for the first time, and knowing the creature was competing, he made a vow to protect the other pilots and crowd from such a dangerous beast.

The incident left him scarred for life - physically and emotionally. To hide his natural shyness, he adorned the "Beastman" persona and adopted the outfit of a dinosaur to give himself an imposing figure. His deadly sharpshooting skills and aggressive tendencies made him feared by the beasts he hunted. His beast hunting has made him quite popular and a hero to many people.

In the anime, Beastman is depicted as a more serious beast hunter, even to the point of killing a beast in cold-blood. It is also hinted that Beastman has a rivalry with Bio Rex, which is carried over from the games.

Beastman only makes one appearance in the anime, in which he is hunting for a werewolf, who happens to be a friend of [[Lucy Liberty]]. During the entirety of the episode, he reluctantly teams up with [[Rick Wheeler]] in hunting for the werewolf. He eventually encounters the werewolf in an F-Zero race, although Rick prevents him from killing him when it turns out that [[Leon]] is the werewolf and is trying to live a normal life. Beastman reluctantly leaves but warns Leon that if he catches him again, he will kill him.

Beastman is an F-Zero pilot, who specializes in hunting dangerous animals as his main occupation. The character makes his debut in the game F-Zero X.
